Bad note!!! - bad note on JEM90

Howdy.

I've had my JEM90 for about 3 months now.
Around 3 weeks ago it developed really bad buzz on the 6th fret of the low e string (Bb). You can't get a clear note unless you press down really hard.
This coincided with some really hot and humid weather so I put it down to that affecting the wood.
The weather has improved a lot and I've been keeping the guitar in its case but no change at all in problem. This is the only fret affected.
Does any have any advice of what I can do to diagnose/fix this?

cheers,

Ben

Bad note!!!

Could be a fret that got misplaced so now it frets the note out...

Bad note!!!

get a straight edge and check your frets for level.
If this is the cause, the frets in Q. wcan be ever so lightly filed down. Be sure to also check the neck for weird snakes and bowns. if they are snakey from l to r on the fret board you can use hot and cold to straighten the neck. its tricky and needs to be done carefully. If you're not well versed in these kinda of things, take it to professional to avoid further damage..
