Baritone string gauge

Hi,

I've just got hold of a sweet RG6CSD2 baritone and want to get a feel like the 9-46 gauge I use on my other standard length guitars. Read somewhere that Ty Tabor uses 11's on his baritone and it feels like 9's, but I don't know what the bottom end gauge should be to get it like the slightly heavier 46's I use? D'addario don't look like there's a decent XL set cos the biggest bottom is a 11-49(!), Ernie Ball do the Beefy Slinky's (11-54) and Dean Markley do Med and MTHB (both 11-52), but they're all different sizes.

Anyone have any ideas from their own experience?

Cheers,
Matt

Re: Baritone string gauge

Thanks for everyone rushing to answer me, but I found out that 11's feel too light to be comparable to 9's on a standard neck. The techs at Headstock, Ibanez' UK distributors, said they strung baritones with 12's and I would say this is probably right.

Hopefully this'll help others who might come across this query.

Re: Baritone string gauge

I use Elixers baritone set, still allows me to bend the upper two stings with ease... the high string is a 12
