BASS MOD WANTED - wiring help required and advice needed

Hi (again) : )

I want to mod my pbass, but don't know the best way to do it. What I am after is to wire the pbass pickup to two outputs but...... I want to split the pickup so that the bottom 2 string pickup goes to one output, and the top 2 strings go to the other. Would I have to have another volume and tone control ( 1 for each 'pickup') or can I still have an overall vol and tone?????

Also, if my pickup doesn't have 4 wires, can I cut the 'link ' wire that joins them and connect them individually?????

Any help would be great

Cheers
Col

Jono! You have to be kidding! I love the Yamaha, infact it is because of the Yam that I am trying to customize my old pbass to give two outputs

I guess after you play the Yam there is no turning back huh
