Battery box

I was thinking of getting one and installing it into a Universe as soon as I get EMG 707's for it. Has anyone installed those Gotoh Battery boxes on their guitars? Where do you route the body and how do you connect the wiring for it.

There is just a red & black wire same as any other battery hookup. The wires go between the pop part and the base. They need to have some play otherwise you won't get the compartment open. The installation is easy if you have routed guitars before. The hole is just a rectangle similar to the output jack cavity. You'll have to drill a hole from any of the three cavities to it. That's about it. They make for an easy change, but so does mounting the battery in with the output jack. Thats just 2 screws.
