Battery cavity retrofit with a Quikchange model

My Ibanez BTB bass comes with a screw off lid for the dual 9volt compartment. Also, my Rg2707 comes with the single version. I want to go with the StewMac quikchange item for both. The dual flip top for the bass and the single for the RG. Has anyone had any experience with them to know if the cavity size will create any issues. I dont mind making the hole bigger, but if what I have is too big, then I have a problem.

Any info is appreciated. Most of my "setup" questions never get answered anyway because they are too off the wall.

Well mmmmm i have an Ibanez rg570 Sustainer equiped. and the battery is in a battery Quickchange by Gotoh. Really nice! fast and easy to change batteries. Its really worth it because you know all batteries trend to fail in A Gig
Then you just take out your replacement battery and make the quickchange!
The hole:
Well this one is Gotoh brand and it fits just fine, youll have to make a hole of course.

Maybe I should clarify what information Im looking for. I want to know if anyone has taken a standard battery cavity and installed the Quikchanges into them. The installation/retrofit part is where I need the help.

Im sure if you mail stewmac they will be more than happy to get you some dimensions - so you can measure up against the cavities in your guitar.

Just looked on the stewmac site and it gives these dimensions, incase you didnt see them;

#3577 has a 4-screw mounting flange for solidbody guitar; it requires a 1-1/4" x 2-3/4" flat mounting surface and 1-5/16" depth

Right-and you don't have much play in that, because the screws need to bite, and the lip around the unit is small. So if you're even a little larger than that now, I'd say don't do it.
