Best swirl colors?

Just curious which colors people think look the best in swirls?

I am thinking to start with I will do a blue/black or a red/black. But I have also been thinking maybe black/purple/yellow.

Current colors i have to play around with:
blue
purple
red
yellow
black
blue metallic
purple metallic

Any thoughts?

The one's I've seen with Yellow seem to really pop.

I guess that is also a more traditional colour ... if there is such a thing.

Blue, yellow, black.

Red, black, purple.

Blue, white, black.

Red, white, black.

So is it fair to say most people think of at least 3 colors when they think of swirls? I have been thinking largely in two color swirls but my friend who is also interested is thinking three and more. One of the color combos he is thinking is Red/Black/Blue what do y'all think of that combo?
