Blocking an Edge Pro

(mods: i searched this, but haven't found it)

a friend of mine brought his new 1527 to have me blocking the trem for pullings. he would just dive-bomb with it.

i passed a couple hours trying to find out how to put a wooden block in it, but it's quite hard cause the Edge Pro's sustain block is not as plain and flat as Edge/Lo-Pro's, it's kind of 'round', so anything you would put there, it will just work as a pivot for the trem.

can someone help me?

I see no reason to worry about it, it's still only going to make contact in the *center* of the block

but it can't stay blocked.
the rounding has not vertical axis, but horizontal axis.

hard to explain for a non mothertongue.

[Had to go grab one, not like I ever looked at one to figure how to block it]

Your easiest block is the vertical axis, slip a piece between the body and the block at it's fatest, done. If you want to block horizontal and to the thin part of the block at the end, use a 1" by [here that would be 1" x 2" [or whatever wide] [which is really 3/4" x 1 3/4" [don't ask]]] rout a channel down the middle for the center spring, then back-cut it so it doesn't make contact with the block until it's past the angle, or, you could make it out of 2 pieces too.

that was one idea i had, actually, but i ended up using a... pencil! it's extremely hard to explain how i cut and placed the pencil to block the trem.
i should draw something down, if anyone's interested... but maybe Rich's method is more professional.
