Bolt-on neck adjustment

Is using the toothpick method an option for securing a bolt-on neck. If not what are my options here. I have a locking trem on a USA Custom that will go sharp when pressure applied and vice versa. I have not seen a fix for this anywhere. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

lay the guitar on a bench and tell us how is the neck moving: up & down, or left & right?

There is a technique using toothpicks and wood glue to fill in stripped strap lock holes. This does work although I have never heard of anyone using it to secure bolt-on screws thus far. I talked with my buddy last night about it ( he went to A.I.M. ), and he said it should as he uses a wood glue, sawdust, and filler on his stripped holes. It should be a secure fix but I am curious to hear from anyone else that has done this or used another method.

Thanks Glen...

i happened to fix a buddy's ESP Hetfield (w/Floyd!?!) with toothpicks: it works great, even with Vai-ish abuses, and it will take 20 minutes to be done. if you're in a hurry, go for it.

For neck bolts, i'd be more inclined to fill them (glue, sawdust, dowels) and re-drill them for a better long-term fix. But in a pinch, a few toothpicks will do the trick.

You haven't said your neck bolts are stripped, you said your trem goes sharp. Are your neck bolts stripped?
