Brass Bridge Block

So Im hearing a lot of rave reviews from players that have a brass block instead of steel. I had brass on my PRS and EBMM JP and the harmonics/sustain and resonance were insane! But my Strat or any other guitar with a steel block wasn't quite there. Back in Feb I got my EBMM Silhouette that has a brass block and it has that great sustain resonance and harmonics so Im really thinking that its due to the block. Now Im hearing good things about titanium as well as a block. So I guess Im looking to see if its just me hearing things or does brass really make that much of a difference? Any comments on this topic are appreciated!

Re: Brass Bridge Block

I have been wondering the same thing. I would like to purchase
a brass replacement block for my original edge but I want to know
that it really will sound better.

Hi, where can you purchase these brass blocks for original edge trems? Are they installed just by changing the original block with one of these? Can you possibly post a link?

Thanks and regards,
Nelson

Google "floyd rose big block" and you'll find the ones for the Edge.

Hi - I'm new here, but a long-time Ibanez user. Great forum!

I'm about to order a brass block for an original Edge from floydupgrades. I have a 1990 RG770. Can someone please reply with what size the block is? I've heard both 32mm and 37mm. I'd like to place the order today and I don't have my guitar with me to measure. Thanks!
