buzz


hi every one I never had this problem before but now when i play the 5 and 6 string in the first fret I get some buzz in the second fret onely there how can i fix this its simply a truss issue??? thanx for the help

Could it be a fret that is lifting? Have a close look and see if a fret could do with tapping back in.

thanx for the help but no fret lifting, another advice? its seems that the secon fret its obviusly a little higer than the first one bu how I fix this every thing else semms to be normal thanx for the hellp again man

Sounds like you need a very minor fret level doing. Do you have a local tech to take the guitar to? If it's only buzzing in one spot, maybe you could get it done very cheaply.

try loosening the truss rod a fraction - it sounds to me like you may have a tiny bit of backward bow - I think Rich once mentioned that Ibanez guitars with a scarf joint between the headstock and the neck can be prone to a little bit of this as the glue creeps slightly over age. If no change, you may need a fret level and dress.

The headstock grain is aligned in the angled direction, as it and the wood behind the nut that makes up the scarf joint shrinks it pulls the nut downward and back. Scarf-joint-itis.

Not that your guitar has it, guitars need adjustment even if they're perfect. Loosen the truss rod.
