Buzzing problems on my RG7421

Hey all, I'm new here. This site is really cool, I'm glad I found it.

I got my Ibanez RG7421 off **** a few years ago. I love it, especially after I put a Dimarzio Blaze neck model in the bridge. I prefer the Blaze neck over the bridge model, it has a bit less bass and more moderate output. I'll most likely pop either a PAF-7 or an Air Norton in the neck eventually.

Anyway, I'm having some buzzing problems, but only in a few spots. I've adjusted the truss rod and intonated the guitar, but it buzzes bad on the lower strings between the second and eighth frets. Not above that, and not on the higher strings. Wierd.

It doesn't do it if I play VERY lightly, but even moderate picking it buzzes like mad. I've triple checked the truss rod, and tried everything from low to very high action and it won't go away.

So I'm thinking maybe I need a fret level done. I haven't had it done since I've had the guitar and I doubt the previous owner had it.

So what I'm wondering is (unless somebody has a miracle solution) what does a fret level and dress with a setup usually cost? Any experiences?

Thanks for any info!

Buzzing strings

Hi Riot

Try lowering your pickups.
When they are too close to the strings it creates a magnetic field.
This fields pulls the string down in a way and causes the buzzing.
I've had similar problems and this worked for me...
I hope it will for you too...
Good luck...
