Hi (again!)
The neck
alignment on my RG1077xl seems a tad out with the low B a little too close to the edge of the fretboard. I've removed the neck and placed a
shim in the neck pocket - AT THE SIDE, on the high E side. It has had the desired effect, but I'm a little worried about it because I have never read anything about using a shim like this or in this situation.
So is it likely to cause any problems? I realise the correct solution would be to sand down the neck pocket to allow for the correct angle, but the idea of that scares me and Im too tight/skint to get it done professionally. Hence the shim usage.......but is it ok?
Cheers!
