if you don't like the tremolo sell the guitar and get fixed bridge version.
I would not constantly block it off, but you can e.g create yourself small pieces of wood which stick in the back between the tremolo block and cavity on both sides.
That rather helps if you change strings or exchange pickups or sim.
Helps tuning as well, cause if the trem block is fixed and leveled then you can tune it simply. Take the blocks out after tuning then adjust the feather tension if needed, so it stays tuned.
The zr is really good in terms of tuning stability, I normally never have to retune after the strings have been stretched.
