Can I fit an Edge trem to an RG270.

I have just bought an RG270 for a project guitar for which I have decided to do a flourescent orange paint job but the tremelo is crap. Which tremolos can I upgrade to ?

if im not mistaken yes and no

most of the ibanez trems fit right inot the bodie as they are a complete floyd replacement, but on the other hand ibanez does changes in specs and dimensions every year

for the most par the cavity, stud alignment and the back route for the fine tuners area, should fit, you might get a bit of pinching in the cavity where the sustain block wits

a dremel would solve this

but yeah, if its a old floyd of a edge or trs design, it should fit on the smae studs

but try for urself and do some measuring

Any version of Edge will require some routing but its really not that tough if you get the recessed floyd templates from stewmac.com.
