Can I place a single coil in the neck position of an RG?

I just found that I don't use my neck hb at all but I do use my Strat's neck pu a lot. If I placed a single coil to my RG's neck, I would have it all. Is it possible and what it takes to be done?

The complication of the procedure depends on the model of RG. If you have a scratchplate its nice and easy...simply buy a new one with h/s/s cut outs. Probably your best bet to get in contact with Jeannie pickguard as they will make what your looking for.
If your RG is rear routed and therefore has no scratchplate it becomes somewhat more complicated... You would have to fill the humbucker sized hole and re-route for a single coil. If this is the case your probably best to talk to project guitar or someone of similar guitar-mod-knowladge hope I helped and good luck

you can try to build a fake humbucker

get the single and a pickup cover, glue them as a humbucker (put the single near to the neck) and find the manner of screw it like a humbucker

Seymour Duncan has (or at least had) a "Stag Mag" pickup. It is two strat single coils wired as a humbucker. When used as a Humbucker it is alright, but when split to a single it is dead on strat because that is what it is made of. I'm sure a series/parallel switch would be good for that guitar too. Or you could trade someone for a 560 which has a single in the neck.

I have one that's waiting to be put in my radius. The other "splittable hum" is one I'm having wound by SK Guitars for the same idea.

Is it possible to just wire up one coil of your humbucker? Or just get a Dimarzio Humbucker From Hell, which sounds like a single coil.
