Can you lower the output of a pickup ? - Voltage reduction ?

I love the sound of my Paf Pro's but splitting them sounds awful. I was thinking if I could just put a resistor or something on the push pull pot I could get the sound I like but with just a lower output and make the humbuckers less hot.

What do I need to add to the circuit to do this ? a resistor or capacitor ? The output of a Paf Pro is rated at 300mV, I'd like to get it down to about *200mV.

Thanks for reading,

Tony

Best way to do that would be voltage divider. *It means two resistors acting similar to potentiometer. Or then you can add trimmer(resistor), which I would prefer. With trimmer you can adjust any desirable level you want. I can draw schematic for you if you want.
