Cannot unlock UV1000 case

Any ideas?? I guess I somehow reset my combination and now I cannot unlock the lock. Is there a factory reset procedure that will allow me to restore my original combination or at least get the case open?

Thanks.

the only way I know if it 'the old fashioned way' where you sat there and go thru each combo.

I've had to do it twice, thanks to my darling children.

Me, too.

I bought a used case and my nephew locked it and spun the numbers. Started at "0".....good thing the combo was "007"

LOL!! I got it **finally**. Starting at "000" I finally found the combination at "974". Just goes to show why I don't play the lottery!!

Thanks for the tips everyone.

lol! Good job. I had to do it twice when I locked mine. The combonation change didn't take for some reason so we said "screw it it's going back to 000!!" And that's where it stays.

Jeez - i hope you went backwards :-p

The funny/ironic thing is that my kids screwed up the combo - if I tried to 'reprogram' it, i porbably couldn't if i tried for an hour.

some dumb guy at guitar center out here set his there when he bought it, and forgot it. he came back with his guitar stuck the next day. they couldn't get it pried open so they sawed the lock off.... OUCH!

Rather nice to see the lock was so tough though.
