Capacitor position - Where does it go?

I'm confused *:loco:
I've looked at many different diagrams from Ibanez, DiMarzio and others and they place the tone capacitor in different positions:glare: **Some have it going from the outside lug to the base of the tone pot and others have it going from the middle lug to the base of the tone pot.

Which is right? *:help:

i don't believe it matters and the desired effect will be achieved either way... glen

i put mine on backwards once (wrong outside lug) and the tone pot worked backwards -- easy enough to switch though.

Thanks, for the input. It looks as though it works either way. My FP is wired on the outside and the RG550 is wired on the inside. Both have the same effect on the tone.

Things that make you go HMMMMMMMM
