Care of Wizard neck?

Hey guys,

I have an RG520QS with the Wizard neck. I just love the way the bare wood on the back of this neck feels. Very smooth and fast. Do any of you with these types of necks use anything on the back of it to protect the wood?

I haven't done anything to it so far and it's in perfect shape. Only thing I do is periodically use some 000 steel wool, and lightly dust the back of the neck to remove any build up and keep it clean.

I'm just wondering if there is anything I should put on it every so often to keep it in great shape. I do not want to put something on it that would make it feel any different than it already does though.

Thanks

Rob

Try 0000 Steel wool. but I just wipe mine down after every use, so that the sweat won't soak into the wood and deform it.

The sweat wouldn't really "deform" the wood. It'd most likely just discolor it a bit. Unless of course you sweat more than any human being was previously thought capable of. Then you should probably seek medical attention. LOL
