Changing a JS neck joint to AANJ?

Now before anyone says no i have an idea. First I know it's not possible to do an exact AANJ on a JS because it's angled, and has that curve in the body right behind the joint itself.

My question is isn't it possible to glue a piece of wood to the body to make the joint perfectly square. Then use some filler or maybe another piece of wood curved like the body and cover up the curve behind the neck joint then from there modify it to a AANJ?

Eddie if you could refinish my JS1 Inferno Red the exact same color after the mod I'd be very interested Or maybe I should do the Radius like that cause the JS is pretty rare and I'd rather leave it all original *deep in thought*

Sounds interesting and there are more factors involved. I won't get into specifics here in the forum, so if you get a chance, feel free to e-mail me with any and all questions you may have.

One thing is the neck itself will more than likely have to be modified as well, unless you already have one.

Why not just chop the corner off & do a "pseudo" AANJ? I had this done and it's very comfortable. Doesn't look the same as a real one, but functionally it works well.

Absolutely! You can do that and get a great feel AND at a fraction of a fraction of the cost

Thx for the pic. Looks great. If I could get my Radius to look like that it'd be awesome. Thx, and bye the way I do have the original neck for that Radius Eddie. I'll be in touch, thx.
