Changing String Gauges...

When changing string gauges from a D'addario EXL110 7 string set(010 013 017 026 036 046 056) to a Dean Markley LTHB set(.010 .013 .017 .030 .042 .052 .060) will a truss rod adjustment be needed(or likely) to compensate for the tension on a 25.5 scale neck that is tuned down 1/2 step? I realize a bridge adjustment would need to be made for a floyd rose,but I wasn't sure about the truss rod.

Thanks

Slight truss adjustments are needed regardless!

It's a constant battle

Re: Changing String Gauges...

That is true although most of the time all you have you have to adjust is the trem angle, which has to sit parallel to the surface of the guitar body when set up correctly and with the proper amount of tension!
