Re: changing trem..help
Hie dannyooi_84. remember me from lowyat.net?
Anyway, the best way if you wanna buy a trem is to buy it online. don't buy in malaysia, it's overpriced.
anyway, there's a website selling an OFR fastloader that ships to malaysia as well:
http://store.guitarfetish.com/tremelos.html
the chrome one is USD59.95.
if you need a
guitar tech
to fix it, I know of two good ones in KL, tham and GG. pm me when you need to send ur guitar to them.
But as i mentioned to you before, have it set up PROPERLY, and it might serve you well for now. and don't forget that your strings have to be fully stretched.
EDIT: so cool, suddenly got so many malaysians in one thread.

Re: changing trem..help
shipping via USPS EMS would cost around USD28.
if its just a small package, the customs here rarely interfere. just tell them when you order to specify as guitar parts in the customs declaration form and you should be fine. i've ordered parts and pickups online before and have never encountered any problem.

Re: changing trem..help
update. just found out that the ILT1 is basically a Lo-TRS II. so in terms of design, it's quite similar to an OFR, so an OFR would be your best bet if you wanted to switch trems. but you really should do away with the original studs and anchors as well. get a good guitar tech to mod that for you.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: changing trem..help
Personally i'd definetely go with a Gotoh coz its relatively cheaper. And about the studs, i think you can use the old anchors and change it with an OFR original stud like those frm stewmac.

good idea, some ppl say its even better than an OFR. but know anywhere online selling for a good price? i recommended the OFR fastloader from here:
http://store.guitarfetish.com/tremelos.html
coz its quite cheap.
using the old anchors i suppose would be bad idea, coz the old anchors are probably plate/hinge type that are more wobbly, as opposed to individual anchor inserts.

Re: changing trem..help
Isn't that fastloader just like a single lock trem, that one sucks seriously though

Yes, which is why it's called fastloader, they're ok but I think they are incomparable to the one that have got double locking, the designs are like the one that they have in older ibanez which have only single lock
