Charvel san dimas neck clean ?

Ok so i have my san dimas charvel for about 2/3 months now and the neck has seriously faded. I dont mean grime or dark spots , the kind youd clean off between string changes , moreso its generally all faded.

The new charvels come with outstanding WHITE maple necks , very very light.
I had the neck off to lower the strings , some truss fun , and i noticed the wood that is shelterd in the guitar pocket , is still so white , yet the rest of the neck is just dull.

Something tells me you canT clean that fading off - ive tried a touch of lemon oil and fast fret , only removes gunk , and overall look remains a more woody colour instead of beaming white.

Any ideas !?

They have an oil finished neck, there's very little you can do about the wear, and it will only get darker as time goes on.

You haven't had it sitting in sunlight have you? This can make the maple very yellow.

P.S. Don't use Lemon Oil on maple... see the sticky thread on cleaning maple.
