Closer to success in swirl art (not so much:))

Hi!

To continue my swirl adventures here are some pics of my yesterday's work. Its still pretty messy and has a lot of artifacts, but its much closer to success. I am using Nexa Autocolor but it hardens & dries way to fast (thinner wont help to much ether and paint time extender for this type of color is impossible to find) so i hope to get some HOK color in next two weeks. Only good thing about this color is it's bright tone.

These look good so I think the next step for you is to move on to bigger objects. Not necessarily guitar bodies but something bigger then the ones that are in the pictures.
that will give you some experience on how much paint you need to cover a bigger object properly.

All good, and I like the colours.

One thing I don't like is the wave effect on some swirls, like on the left hand piece on your picture. I think the right and middle are my favs

Everytime I tried acrylic they just sunk to the bottom. How did you get it to float?

Thinner and even lacquer for green color, but i guess it all depends on brand. With acrylic colors borax had zero impact for me.
