Crybaby mod

What I'm wanting to do is reverse the wiring for my crybaby by making it so the open position is the treble side and the closed is the bassy side...in other words, opposite of what it already is. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how?

its possible, i don't know much about them though. you would have to put the crank looking thing on the other side so its reversed(if that makes sense) someone else please explain it, cause i don't know what the parts are called, and whats the point of doing this?

I haven't taken my crybaby apart, but there's not much more in there than a pot and a switch (well, and some transistors & stuff, but we don't care about those right now). In theory, to reverse the range of the crybaby, all you should need to do is switch the wires in the first & third position on the pot. Of course, this could be a gross over-simplification, but it works in my head!

It is a very easy thing to do.

Inside the pedal you find the pot that rotates when you use the wah. It is the only pot of the pedal.

The pot has 3 'connections' with cables soldered on. You simply have to change the 2 outer cables. The result is that the pot works reversed.

I made this mistake (you want this ) when I was repairing an old Vox Wah.

On the pot, the cable are arranged in triangular form...what colors would it be? There is blue (which appears to be 2 cable soldered) yellow and black. (my crybaby is not modified in any way.)

Watching the Family Values '98 vid, specifically "All In The Family", it appears as though Munky and Head both have their wah's set up like this...interesting. I've never heard of it before, but it sounds cool.

I was playing around with my wah one time, and found out that I like the "aaaaahhhhwwww" sound more than the "wah" sound. This crybaby isn't my only wah pedal so I thought I would try it out on it first.
