Custom paint job?

I've been contemplating a custom paint job on an Ibanez S style, probably something of a racing flames (car stuff), and was wondering, would anybody know where to start with something like that, who to call, and what kind of financial damage I'm looking at... I'm in Los Angeles. Thanks!
