Cutting out the backplate

Hey guys, my uncle bought me a tremol-no for my bday and I installed it and it works great! However I'd like to still use my backplate, it does have the holes in it for adjusting the trem on the fly but the holes are a little too small to adjust all the tremol-no screws. Do you think I should just widen/lengthen one hole and with what if I do?

I'd just leave the backplate off if I were you, but if you want to cut it a hacksaw blade will probably do the job. Then you can neaten it up with some sand paper.

Drill one or two holes in the backplate. Then, with a tiny handsaw, cut a cavity to fit the Tremol-no.

I would just leave the back plate off...

w/e I'll leave it off, If my spring cavity looked like crap i'd probably want to cut the backplate more
