Detailing 1991 Ibanez Jem BFP

Got my second Jem today. Already have a Jem BRMR.
The BFP had some dents and small scratches. I used a soldering iron on a wet rag to restore the wood. Then i put on a lot of laiers with black nail polish. On the head stock i used a paint marker. The body had a good treatment with Dunlop Carnauba wax. But i let i dry more than 30 seconds (recomended on the bottle) before i wipe it dry. On every plastic part including the case i use Autoglym vinyl and rubber care.

Very nice! How do you use a soldering iron and a wet rag to restore wood? A few character marks are ok...that is a beautiful guitar - congratulations!!!

The steam causes the wood to pop out a little bit from the crack. But it's difficult to make the dent to be 100%
