Diablo Swirl -Why aren't there more of these?

REd n Black. the Finish looks bumpy in pics because the body has not been cleared/buffed. The colors are also alot more vivid in real life, as with most swirls.(They are so hard to photograph) Im gonna have to say one of my best swirls yet. Dimarzio Evolutions, Vintage S1 mid, Orginal Edge Trem, Custom vine inlay neck by chris woods (Wizard 1), and other genuine ibanez parts. Im planning on getting this done before christmas to sell! Let me know what you guys think!!

Just me personally, I never liked the red and black "diablo" swirls. Don't particularly like the odd orange and black swirls when they show up either. That's a nice guitar though

I'm in the same category as Jim in that I just don't really like the look of Diablo swirls, which is weird as Red and Black are my favourite colours.

However, your swirl there doesn't bother me. I works for me. And since I normally hate Diablo swirls that's probably a good thing.


I think when it comes to swirls more people are interested in copy Vai's swirls. PMC, BMC, DNA's, etc.

This project was actually inspired by the neck. I needed to match the red/pinkish vine. Just wait for the clear and setup and you might have a bit different opinion

dude, awesome! are you using testors paints? also, when you dip the guitar, do you move it side to side slowly, or do you make most of your wavy swirl pattern on top of the water?

Now that ya have made us drool over the perfect swirl patterns you created. Tell us every little thing ya done to get them results. And dont be a butthead that tries to keep it a secret. Obviously if a guy has to go thru all this to make his dream guitar He or she is not in a financial position to buy a factory issue. My situation, therefore we should always help our fellow guitar nuts fullfill their musical pleasure. Thanks for showing the pics,cant wait to see it with clear,make it look like it is very deep and dimensional and that will be one sweet piece. AKJC1977
