Dimarzio cliplock straps

Ok,whay is the proper way to install these straps?Brass flat side in towards body or teflon washer in towards body?I've been using these things for years still don't know if there right.

you should put the teflon washer between the strap and the guitar. the brass washer goes thru the hole in the strap, in order to keep the screw from getting in touch with the nylon web.
