DiMarzios in basswood... need help ASAP!

****NOTE: the (****)s on the link represent the word 3bay (as in the online store...)

Yes, Christmas is coming, and I was thinking of removing the V8, V7, and S1 from my '97 RG570 (FBL) with DiMarzios....

I was looking at the DiMarzio evolution set, but Vai apparently uses these in his alder models, while he uses a DiMarzio Breed set for his basswood. I don't particularly mind using either, but I prefer more of a warmer PAF tone after hearing my friend's PGM.

I'm thinking of getting these on ****, as my local store (L+M and Cosmo Music) does not have DiMarzios, but EMGs. I'm REALLY skeptical though of this: (http://cgi.****.ca/DiMarzio-F-spaced...item56381645c9

The fact that there are 2 bridges in the picture, despite that the title states it's a Breed Neck, Evo Mid, and Breed Bridge... and the description at the bottom states that the pickups in the picture are the ones for auction.

In my case, I plan to get an Evolution set, but I hear complaints from users that claim that it lacks mids and bass. I even hear that it's not a compliment for basswood... I need help.

I know many who have bought from banjomikez and all have been very happy- I wouldn't worry!

As far as the choice goes, I always love PAF Pros in anything, but recently choose the 36th anniversary PAF's for my LP and love them. Those are lower output, though, as opposed to the Breeds and Evos. In your situation, if you're looking for a higher output, I'd go with the Breeds in your 570. Good luck!

Evo's sound good in basswood too man, some don't like it but I think it sounds very good, also look at evo 2's. Vai's guitar Flo is basswood and it has an evo bridge, I feel like it still has around the same tone as evo.

Some prefer breeds though, that **** link seems like a good deal too
