Drop D string tension ibanez...


hey, i want to set my ibanez up in D, i only play with 10's in standard E tuning and i want the same feeling of this tension in D so what do u guys think i should put on? i allready tryd 11's but this was a feeling like it was 9,5, is there 11,5?

ig you got 010`s on, try a thick string like 052 it might work. if you want d-drop. i play with 011 with a 052 and tune down to c and it works for me

Dude, if you're only dropping the D, like you just said in the thread title, just put a .052 on the bottom.

Do you mean drop D, or do you mean tuning the whole guitar down a tone? I suspect the latter, in which case 12's will be tighter but cope better with a standard scale length. If not, use a 49 or 52 depending on preference. I find a 49 is pretty good.
