Drop D with 0.12 string gauge on Edge 3 tremolo

Hello guys

I just have bought a 0.12 (High) 0.52 (Low) string set and want to tune to Drop D . and problems just began to occur. The bridge is forward dumped in the air and I need to let it back to parallel position. I tightened the spring claw screws but I feel the bridge is not balanced and it needs further tension as well as i can't get the tuning right at all. I thought of adding the fourth string to add more tension in (1 2 - 4 5) formation, but the the black bar on the bridge block only ha s3 holes for a
(1 - 3 - 5 ) formation. How can I add that fourth spring to the that EDGE 3 tremolo ?

Any help with that ?

Thank you for your time

Get some of those high tension springs. They are copper colored.

Whats the reason you went with the .12's?

For drop D you are only changing one string so putting high gauge strings like that on is going to crank up the bridge! You will possibly need to alter the truss rod too and the trem screws will need pulling in. My advice would be to just go for 10's and get it setup as the setup guide on this very site, or on ibanezrules.com

Remove the spring locking bar and fit the springs into the screw holes.
