Easier: Edge Trems or ZR Trems

I'm thinking of getting another Ibanez. I have a Jem and a 1550. I am thinking of another RG or S series. Which trem is easier to setup, restring and maintain OR are they about the same? Thanks for the help.

All I can think is that ZR doesn't have knife edges to wear down so that's one less thing to worry about. Apart from that, I think they're pretty much the same.

id say the same. Though i think the ZR might be a little more robust once setup

The edge line is easier to set flat because they have the knife edges that can easily tell you what parallel is.

The ZR doesnt have that, and the S doesn't really have any straight lines to compare to anyway.

However, the ZR does have the thumbwheel spring adjustment, something only the relatively new EZ has.
