Edge III setup

Hey i've just bought Rg370dx and is a very good guitar.I've trouble setting up the bridge angle. The construction of the bridge is in a such a shape that i cannot figure out whether it is parallel to the body or not.

Another thing if i do a dive bomb the guitar comes in perfect tune but if i pull it up every strings are a bit sharp,Why?Can anyone give me a picture of the Edge III angle?

Re: Edge III setup

Man!, the Edge III Really Sucks! even when it is in a correct setup... Can't even do the flutter thing, and the bar is loose. Edge Pro is the best, but haven't tried the ZR yet.

Re: Edge III setup

Don't listen to the haters, man. That's just something said when they don't know how to take care of their own guitars.
A properly setup Edge II will hold tune, just fine. You just seem to have something off, right now. I have an Edge III, and do pull-ups, all night, and it stays in tune, perfectly. Have someone look it over for ya, and don't give up.

Racerx2k can u give me a picture of ur edge III.

Compared to other low priced trems, it's great but it has its limitations.

Sure. Here you go, but I don't know if it's really gonna buy you anything. Not the best pic, but best I could do with this ****ty camera. Took me 10 minutes just to get it to look THIS good!

It doesn't suck. Really. If you read the manual that comes with the guitar (and if it didn't, you can probably get it online or email for it), it'll tell you exactly how to set it up correctly. With that and the guide here, you should be set.

And for those who don't know or can't be bothered to read: to make the trem arm tighter, put the trem arm in, dive bomb all the way AND HOLD. Now on the back of the trem block it self (the bit that has just made itself visible by you bombing), there is a small allen screw. Tighten this with an appropriate allen key. Now it is tight.

And yes, it does do the SV flutters/gargles/random wacky stuff.

Re: Edge III setup

It DOES flutter, but not quite as well as my old original Edge. Probably due to less mass, plus the springs may still need to break in. Still, it IS a good trem.

Re: Edge III setup

I've been known to round socket heads, and strip threads at work, so I wouldn't exactly be a good benchmark for THAT one! hehe.
