edge lo pro - how to insert the string lock blocks

Hey

I´m in the process of changing all the string lock blocks (THEY ALL CRACKED!) but i can´t remember how they are supposed to be put in.
The block has a sort oval shape with the round hole more to one side than the other....SO is the side with the hole supposed to be up or down?

Quick answear please

Re: edge lo pro - how to insert the string lock blocks

the hole must be faced toward the fine-tuners (the locking screw will rock against the hole). and the lock block must be flipped so that the hole would sit near the bottom side of the saddle. hopefully it's clear enough.

ps: do not overtighten the lock screws. it won't ensure the string to be locked to the saddle. a little tight is enough.

Read the above replies. No diagram is needed. Put the block in with the dimple on the bottom end and facing the string block screw. The screw engages the dimple for a secure fit.

OK I believe I did it right. Hole connecting with screw. When putting in a string and then tightening the screw towards the block, the block still moves. The screw moves with no issues. That's why I was thinking it's in wrong. What am I missing? Thanks.

Are we being punked here??? The block is supposed to move when you tighten the screw. Then the block makes contact with the string, tighten a little more--that's what locks the string in. The string end is supposed to be sandwiched between the front inside of the sadle and the block.
I guess you need a few videos of how to change strings on a double locking trem:

Re: edge lo pro - how to insert the string lock blocks

No punking. Seriously that's how you get punked?
I've been working with floyd type bridges for 20 years. I could have made such a video. your links fail btw.
Rather than assumption and flip answers, you might try being constructive.

When I screw the locking screw all the way the string end pushes the block back even if it looks like the block and the screw are all the way. So either the block is in wrong or...

It seems like a problem that shouldn't exist so thus my being baffled. I've ever seen this happen.

I will pull the block and double check that it goes in correctly. If it still moves and all is in place..I'd love to hear constructive thoughts on why.

We were trying to be constructive, but your lack of details really made it seem like you couldn't figure out why the block moved when you moved the screw--look at it from that perspective. You know what you mean, but all we have to go on, is what you write.
