Edge Lo Pro trem post question

I am totally new to locking trems and I have taken my old Ibanez 550DX totally apart to clean, and now I am putting it back together. I have noticed that the trem posts have these little mini screws that come out of the bottom of each post. Is there a proper way to set these up?

Thanks!

Cameron

Re: Edge Lo Pro trem post question

those are the locking studs. When you have the trem and action set up right, you screw those down using a smaller allen wrench from the top of the stud. It locks them in place and you get better tremolo performance and reliability and whathaveyou

Re: Edge Lo Pro trem post question

make sure you keep them locked down, because if they're not, over time the stud holes can become slightly rounded by whammy use.
