Edge LoPro Tremolo rust

I've just noticed some rust on.. I guess what is the 'saddle' or the block that holds the string in place on my LoPro Edge (Jem90HAM, had it since about '9. Do I just get some barkeepers friend and a q-tip and clean it?

Are they supposed to rust like this..?

yep,
hardware gets rusty pretty easily, even after a few weeks of use.
dont know what's the best method to get rid of it, but i just sand it off with a very fine grit sandpaper, then i dip the thing in antirust solution.

to keep it from rusting, just give it a wipe with a soft cloth after you played.
