Edge Pro 7 tools, etc...

Certainly, these questions are open to anyone who can provide a correct answer, but I'm kinda directing this toward Rich, as it basically has to do with stuff that he sells. I'm posting the questions here rather than sending an email to Rich for the sake of posterity; never know when an answer to these kinds of questions is going to be helpful to someone else...

Anyway...

First question is about the Edge Pro 7 that comes on the RG1527RB (that I ordered yesterday). Will the LPE intonation adjustment tool also work on the Edge Pro 7 bridge? Rich shows the LPE tool as in stock (quite a few, actually). Obviously, it won't work on the original Edge, but the Pro (and presumably, the Pro 7) have a very different architecture from the Edge. So, that's question 1.

Question 2 (multi-part but interrelated); will the locking stud mod (as detailed here http://www.ibanezrules.com/tech/setup/stud_mod_03.htm ) work on the EP7? Is the DIY locking stud mod kit still available, and will it work the same way? How easy is to do, in general? Does it still cost $45 USD?

Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated. I'd like to stock up on this kind of thing while I can, so I can be prepared and protect my investment.

Thanks in advance, everyone!

The LPEA will work if they lengthen the string lock screws 2mm. If they do that it works just like a Lo Pro. I finally got an exec to send the details off to Japan but unless they make a spec change to the EP I doubt you'll see it.

Stud mod is always available and an easy install..

Kapow! Zing...you're like frickin' lightning, man!

Seriously...thanks for the quick response.

So the string lock screws on the EP7 are 2mm too long to use the LPEA tool...ok. So, I either have to grind off 2mm from each screw (pain in the a**, I'm sure, though I do have the necessary tools...it'll only take me roughly 146 years), or to replace the string lock screws completely. Are the screws interchangeable? That is, can I just buy seven LP string lock screws and replace the EP7 screws directly and without further modification?
The cynic inside of me believes that, in true Ibanez fashion, the screws will be subtly different (aside from that 2mm of length, of course), but different enough so that a direct swap would be impossible. Again, maybe I'm just being cynical.

I suppose there's a point where the modifications and adjustments necessary to make a tool work that's supposed to make your life easier outweigh the difficulty of just intonating "by hand" in the first place.

I'm definitely considering the locking stud mod, however...
