rubbish, it's clear user error.

BTW you're not going to make many friends here if your first post says "your guitars are crap", if you have a problem with the product go to your dealer or ibanez.com. We know there is nothing wrong with the trem bar holder, its function or design.

Installed correctly, new nylon washers will hold for at least a year, even at heavy trem use and frequent bar removal. Plus, there are two washers as one would actually suffice if you prefer a looser feel. That's how it was designed.

im not interested in being your friend...im on here for advice from a pro...which you obviously are NOT.I've been playing ibanez guitars exclusively for 20 years...and there IS a problem with the edge pro bar...I flutter and dive bomb quite alot and i gig three times a week...i dont want to keep changing bushings every week...and using teflon tape!..The others left a link to change the bar out...they were intelligent players that know about this.I read the link and I'm working on putting a working bar in.... so how bout you get a life and keep your personal opinionss out of this forum ..ok sport?

Chill the attitude or you will not be a welcome member. If you're not looking to make friends I'd suggest frequenting another board.

Run the bushing end of the bar under a flame [stove, lighter, campfire] for 10 seconds. It will swell the bushing and make them tight again. Repeat until you need to replace them.

Or change the bar for the clunky OFR type, which is a primary reason I hate OFR's.

Or when the ZR2/EZ holder system is finally available as parts it will be a direct retrofit, with fully adjustable torque bushing.

Talk about manners.....

You were given a link to thread that addresses the solution to the problem you have with the bar's design. Whether or not you have been an exclusive player of Ibanez guitars for however long a time you claim it to be, that's completely irrelevant. Most everyone who has ever owned an Ibanez guitar has addressed the issue in their own way and continues to use their trem without complaints. I feel that you have been quite arrogant and that an apology to eviltwin is in order.

Interesting...

Steve Vai has been playing Ibanez guitars exclusively for OVER 20 years, and he has a much different opinion.

Many of the members on here have been playing Ibanez guitars for 20 years or more (or close to it) and the vast majority seem to either have no problems in the first place or know how to easily fix any minor problems.

Interesting that you differ from these two examples.

I second Jimmy's ending suggestion.
