Edge Trem Question

Is the length of the trem block the only difference between a recessed and non-recessed Edge?

Thanks,

Steve

Re: Edge Trem Question

the recessed and non-recessed is when the tremolo is a floating tremolo or like EHV uses with his guitar when the tremolo dont float, i think the edge pro can be a recessed tremolo (no floating)

Re: Edge Trem Question

steve. i think it is the only difference. the only difference that may matter anyway. a non recessed edge would be from a much older ibanez i would think. i've seen both and they look to have the same design. oh, and the plating may be different too.

Yeah, thats what I think I too. I bought an edge from a RG550 to put in my roadstar project. Everything seemed to work out fine except that block, unfortunately the longer blocks arent so easy to find, so I ended up routing the rear trem cavity to allow the springs to clear.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Later,

Steve
