Edge zero 2 saddle screwup!!

hi guys
my guitar has the edge zero 2 tremolo( its an RG370).
last week i was changing the strings. Ive done this before, its no big deal for me. But this time, after tuning the guitar, levelling the trem, etc, the strings started popping out of the saddle!
I put the string back in, and tuned up again. I played a bit, and stretched the strings even more. then i did a few dives. No problem. but as soon as i did even a bit of a pullup, the strings popped again.
I sent it to the shop, and changed the strings. The problem persists, through 5 different sets of strings!!
What is the problem?
If it helps, i keep the ZPS out. The shopkeeper says it screws up the guitar( not that i believe him, cause well, hes wrong). I tune to Drop D.

The string doesnt break, it just slips out of the saddle. Also, it only comes oujt during bends or pullups, which i frankly cant live without.
Thanks!!

Re: Edge zero 2 saddle screwup!!

its possible the threads in the tightening screws may have been stripped,
if so you can replace them.
maybe if you file the end of the string to make it rough it might help.

Re: Edge zero 2 saddle screwup!!

Or there is a tiny piece of broken string trapped inside the saddle, keeping you from fully tightening the string.

Also...and I'm not 100% on this type of Ibby trem but if it has string blocks (again...I haven't checked this out yet)...maybe the blocks got inadvertently flipped around or upside down. I know on the lo-pros if the string blocks are put in wrong, it won't hold the string....

Re: Edge zero 2 saddle screwup!!

It seems threads in the tightening screws may have been stripped
Or even the threads on the base plate.
It happened to me on my brand new rg2550z with Edge zero.

Re: Edge zero 2 saddle screwup!!

btw, I have a yamaha RGX where the thread on one of the saddles is gone,
its not a problem, I just push the string through from the trem springs side and it holds tune and plays fine.
its not designed for this but it works.

Re: Edge zero 2 saddle screwup!!

thanks for all the replies everyone!!! my guitar is at the shop, but i'll check it out when i get it back. If the threads are stripped , do i need to replace the whole screw, or just a small part?
