Edge Zero set screw?

First, this is the first floating bridge guitar I've owned, so I decided to do some research on setup. Came across the ibanezrules tech setup page...

on that page, it says there are set screws in the post that need to be loosened to make action adjustments. Is this for the original edge and lo-pro only, or does this apply to the Edge Zero as well. I have not seen these set screws in the posts, but figured it's safer to ask first

Only one way to find out. Take a 3mm( I think) allen/hex wrench and stick it down in the stud/post. give it a few turns and check if the screw comes out. What year is the guitar?

Re: Edge Zero set screw?

the edge zero comes with the locking screws uninstalled, they should be in the case with the other tools, unless you installed them just use the regular allen key

Re: Edge Zero set screw?

ah! that makes a lot of sense why I have two of those in a little baggy. lol... deedeedee on my part.

So I simply screw those in from the top of the stud? They don't seem to fit. They're too large in diameter. Maybe I should be riding the short bus?

thanks for the help, guys

They have to be installed from the bottom, so you have to take them out

Re: Edge Zero set screw?

so... I have to remove the studs? Do I NEED to do this? I"m guessing this really isn't necessary since the guitar is holding tune with no problems.

That, and without the lockign studs, the holes are more liable to oval themselves, and that will cause a lotta hell down the line if it happens.

Most trems are fine, but I honestly think locking studs are the only way to do i. I'm only disappointed the ZR doesn't come with them, but luckily I would suppose that system doesnt really need them.
