Re: Edge3 Replacement Tremolo

I am almsot sure about schaller, but you could look for measures, I'll see if this friday I ask a friend who changed from epII to schaller how he did it. Maybe someone can solve your doubts about jackson, because i have never had one.

Hi, I asked him, but he didn't know, he sent his guitar to the luthier, but he never asked if it was modified.

....im just new here,so please be gentle with me....hihihihihi....

i do believe that you said Ibanez Edge-Pro into Edge-III cavity:can fit
.....i just wanna make sure 1 thing that the edge pro stud is bigger than the edge 3 stud, so if i change my edge 3 stud to edge pro stud do i need to route the cavity to fit in?..coz ive read somewhere that an edge pro stud is bigger than edge 3...i dont know if its true,i just wana know the best answer coz i know that you tried and experiment a lot about this thread...thanx nuno.....

i dont really sure if the edge pro anchor will fit in to the cavity..but using the edge 3 stud is a drop in replacement as nuno mention in the previous page..

Re: Edge3 Replacement Tremolo

Already posted a new thread, but I figured I'd try this one as well in hopes of getting an answer...

Q: Floyd special into an edge III rout.

Edit: Never mind, I put an OFR into the guitar. For the record, the cavity needed considerable routering to hit. It is NOT a direct drop into an edge III cavity as it was said to be before. Most of the routering I did was centered around the back of the cavity, so the string lock screws would have clearance inside the pocket, which leads me to think a Floyd Pro would fit without issue, or atleast with less issues.

on IBANEZ EDGE-III cavity:

• Ibanez Edge into Edge-III cavity: NO

• Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge into Edge-III cavity: NO

• Ibanez Edge-Pro into Edge-III cavity: YES

• Original Floyd Rose into Edge-III cavity: YES

• Schaller Floyd Rose into Edge-III cavity: NO

on IBANEZ EDGE/LoPro EDGE cavity:

• Original Floyd Rose into Ibanez Edge/LoPro Edge cavity: YES

• Ibanez Edge-Pro into Ibanez Edge/LoPro Edge cavity: YES

on IBANEZ EDGE-PRO/EDGE-PRO II cavity:

• Ibanez Edge into Ibanez Edge-Pro/Edge-Pro II cavity: NO

• Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge into Ibanez Edge-Pro/Edge-Pro II cavity: NO

• Original Floyd Rose into Ibanez Edge-Pro/Edge-Pro II cavity: YES

• Schaller Floyd Rose into Ibanez Edge-Pro/Edge-Pro II cavity: NO

on Original FLOYD ROSE cavity:

• Ibanez Edge into Original Floyd Rose cavity: YES

• Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge into Original Floyd Rose cavity: YES

the TRS/LoTRS/LoTRS-II cavities are not covered as ANY Floyd licensed trem (except maybe Kahler Floyds) can be easily installed in those, no works needed.

pics HERE
Thanks a lot.

Re: Edge3 Replacement Tremolo

With all of this said, just to help specify, could this be a drop in replacement for my Edge III? I'm interested in the piezo system. And if this would drop in, do you think it's a good bridge?
