Ernie Ball JPM owners...help!

Hello!
Okay, here's the deal...
i'm wanting to sand/carve a JPM-style armrest in my Project: Kermit guitar { a Schecter C-7 ]. The EB JPM has GOT to be the most comfortable guitar body i have ever played!!! Anyway, what i need is pictures of the armrest from all possible angles. Up close, long distance, horizontal-- you name it, i need it. Do you all think that the carved top of the Schecter C guitar will interfere with the armrest, other than just looking kinda funny? I may make it have the cool body contours on the top of the guitar, too, so please post those, too.
Thanks a lot, guys!!!!!

You might want to try on the JP.com forum... the JPM:member ratio there has to be at least 1:1, i'm sure someone would be happy to help

I think you're going to have a hard time making that kind of armrest look good on a guitar with a carved top. Where the forearm contour meets the top will have a weird wavy line to it.

Well Darren, i'm really not worried about it looking good or not. Heck, i don't even think they look good on the JPM's! I just want it because it's so ergonomic. What i was wondering was if the slight body carve would make the armrest useless. I really really hope not. I really don't see why it would, though, my wrist/arm never touches the part of the body that is slightly raised because of the carve.
Thanks for the tip about the JPM forum. I tried them, and haven't gotten any help, though... The Petrucci and EB/MM sites don't really have anything, either. Please help, if nothing else, it's an opportunity to show off you guitars!
Post pictures, or even a link to somewhere that has some.
Thanks!

It looks like Washburn is starting to use a similar cutaway on some of their guitars and basses.

From what i've seen, it just looks like both Washburn and Ernie Ball/MusicMan just hold the guitar body up to the rounded end of a big belt sander and *bzz*. Experiment with it and stop when it feels good.

(That's how Peavey does the little scallop at the tip of the Wolfgang headstock, too.)

Washburns not subtle about it these days they just make blatant copys of body styles. I still like alot of their stuff though they just have WAY too much low end stuff.

Go to the jpm forums so few of us own them and look on ebay for random shots from different angles

the prototypes had black had stocks, but the little dip in the top was color matched to the tops which looked good in my opinion. Probably ended up being one of thing cosmetic things that just got cut. EVH started chopping down headstocks to make guitars a little less neck heavy after he got into using steinbergers. I assume its just to remove weight and give looks. Even the musicman had a little headstock which I dig as well. I have pics somewhere of one of sammy hagars washburns and it was really clear that the headstock had been chopped in half, but it did look kind of cool
