f-spaced or regular?

I have a Ibanez RG3EX1 and ive changed the pickups too a DiMarzio X2N in the bridge and a Bill Lawrence USA 500XL in the neck. I dont know what the spacing cause theyre are blades instead of hex screws, flat head screws, or phillips head screws. I think the BL500XL is fspaced and the X2N is regular(i heard some where that all X2Ns are fspaced) and i dont know why theyre different they just are. It has a fixed bridge, not a trem, it is 25.5 scale. What spacing is it?

I have a 1993 Jackson Stealth HX PROFESSIONAL with a stop tail with a string thru body, like a Dean Razorback DB without that v shaped thing. What spacing is it?

Please help!!!!!!

Or maybe I should have used the search function to find the "FAQ" section.

OK. I'll answer...
The X2N and BL 500 are both wide rail magnet pickups. As such, they work for both standard and f-spaced. There are no poles so no need to worry about spacing.
A fairly good explanation of pickups can be found, quite easily, here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickup_(music)

Cheers!

Jeese, you'd think that a website like Dimarzio's own might see fit to have a FAQ on the sublect, that was something along the lines of:

F-spaced pickups measure 2.01" (51 mm) center-to-center from the first polepiece to the sixth. Standard-spaced pickups measure 1.90" (48 mm). Although some players believe that F-spaced pickups are only for the bridge position of tremolo bridge guitars, many guitars with fixed bridges (including late 1990s Gibson Les Pauls and Epiphone LPs) should have F-spaced pickups in the bridge position. Most tremolo equipped guitars that have a nut width of 1-11/16” (43mm) or more should also use an F-spaced pickup in the neck position. If you’re replacing a bridge-position pickup and you're not sure what your string-spacing is, it's usually better to get an F-spaced model. It is not necessary for the strings to pass exactly over the center of the polepieces for best performance, but it is wise to avoid a situation where the E strings are sitting completely outside of the outer polepieces.
That would be really useful. Oh look, they do.

Not to be an ass kshands, but this info isn't exactly hard to search for.

he just told you that BECAUSE they are rails, spacing doesnt matter...if you are gonna replace the dean pups with rails, then it doesnt matter..or like dimarzio says, if you're not sure, get f-spaced pickups just to be safe..

It's "you're" not "your", and "i" should have been a capital.

Here ends this grammar police announcement.
