Fake jem body good to use real jem parts?
Well you see I bought a jem 7 body with eletronics , pickgraud n hardware. What I didn't know was that it was a fake jem 7 body. Now I want to know if my Real jem 7 neck and edge tremolo would be good with the body ? Or just find a new one

fake body will be basswood a real 7vwh body is made of alder,so i supose the fake body would be ok to use as a project.cant comment on how its going to sound with a real 7vwh neck, but i wouldnt fit evo pickups as they sound hideous in basswood just my opinion of course,paf-pro and basswood is a good combination, that way your guitar would sound like a 777 jem.

you are absolutely right..it will be good defination to use pafs with basswood.
for the main question sometimes fake jems has got own cavities to their crappy fingerboard and trems.so it will be too much pain to fit some parts on it.you have to route some parts and re-drill some holes-have to built new studs an ancours to trem etc...sometimes they use bad woods (poplar etc).be sure that i will worth on it or not
