Fender bridge saddle adjustment?

Hi, does anyone know what size allen wrench I need to adjust the height on Fender bridge saddles? I assume they're all the same, but I have one of the newer hardtails.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's a 1.5mm. I'll check for sure when I get up to my workshop and post again to confirm.

Some Fender hex sizes can differ depending on country of origin, but I think most of the saddle height screws are consistent.

I tried a 1.5mm actually, and it was too big.

Re: Fender bridge saddle adjustment?

Hmmm.... I just checked and 1.5mm fits all my Fender saddle scews. I'm not sure if I have ever seen a hex screw smaller than 1.5mm on a guitar, though I suppose it's possible.

Did you try the wrench in more than one of the screws? I only ask because sometimes gunk and stuff can get into the holes and prevent the wrench from going in properly (especially on the bass string saddles). If this is the case, just use a small segment of a G string to dig all that stuff out.

What make/model is your guitar? And from what country? I think the Japanese models could be different, or your hex screws could be SAE instead of Metric.

Strange. I'll try again when I get home. Thanks for the help.

I don't actually have a full guitar. I'm putting together a parts strat and I bought the bridge from the auction site. Item #7416404150. They claim it's a 2005 American.

0.050"

That works on mine. If it's an American, it will be SAE (and should be 50 thou).
