On the left is (burgundy red):
Highway 1 body
Allparts Neck
Brushed chrome locking tuners
62 reissue bridge
Fender Tex Mex pickups
Medium / jumbo frets

On the right is a refinished body + neck:
3 piece alder or ash body (I refinished in a blue/black sunburst stain + lacquer)
Thin 'vintage' frets (think 52 reissue tele)
Emg 89 + 85 with coil split

Let me know what you think, I was quite happy with the finish on the blue/black guitar. It was my first experience dying the wood and I found it quite easy and very effective. I dyed the grain black initially, sanded and re-stained blue. I'm a little sorry I used a 3 piece body as the grain in the wood is really not matched.

I'll try to get some more photos up later.

Kevin
