Hey guys,
my brother got a new
IBANEZ S470B-SKB for his 14th birthday. He loves it (I think it's a pretty decent guitar, too), but it had a few finish imperfections and a little hair-thin crack in the finish by the volume/tone knobs when he unwrapped it.
Well, it's more of a scratch, but a little deeper, cause there's no finish on that spot.
However, we asked the store whether they would exchange it for a new one, but they said they inspected the guitar before it left (suggesting that it's my bro's fault...) and that there was nothing wrong with it.
Only thing I noticed is that my bro had put the cardboard box that most guitars get shipped with upside down, so the guitar was lying on it's "belly" when he opened it. But given that the guitar was in a wrapper, and there's hardly any space inside the shaped box for a guitar to move around, I doubt that this actually caused the crack in the finish. Or could it?
I know it's kind of a stupid question, but my brother asked to post it here since he doesn't seem to give two cents about his older brother's opinion
Thanks.
